Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After settling in, enjoy a welcome dinner and receive a detailed briefing about your upcoming climb.
After breakfast, drive to Umbwe Gate for registration. Begin your trek through the dense rainforest, following a steep path to Umbwe Cave Camp. This first stage involves a challenging ascent, but the lush scenery along the way makes it a rewarding experience.
Continue climbing through the forest as the landscape gradually transitions into moorland, with rocky outcrops along the way. Ascend the Umbwe Ridge before descending into the Barranco Valley, where you will reach Barranco Camp.
Conquer the Barranco Wall and take in breathtaking views of the Heim Glacier. Continue your trek through the Karanga Valley, reaching Karanga Camp where you will spend the night.
Head to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt. Prepare for the final ascent by having an early dinner and getting some rest.
Start your summit attempt around midnight, trekking through the darkness to reach Uhuru Peak by sunrise. After celebrating at the summit, make your way back down to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
Complete your descent to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificates. Afterward, enjoy a transfer back to Arusha for a night of relaxation and celebration of your remarkable achievement.
