Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Wherever you go in Tarangire National Park, you’ll come across the park’s famous and larger-than-life baobab trees and elephants. These are the twin elements that give this park so much personality. There is, of course, so much more. We don’t just mean the huge populations of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras. Or the rugged landscape of rocky hills and rivers, swamps and savannah plains. You also have an excellent chance of seeing lions here – Tarangire is a real lion stronghold – and keep an eye out for leopards and cheetahs as well.

Meal: Lunch & dinner (Non-alcoholic drinks)

Day 2

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Welcome to the Unesco World Heritage-listed Serengeti, one of Africa’s top safari destinations. While you’re here, there’s an excellent chance that you’ll see leopards along the dry riverbanks, cheetahs out on the grasslands, and elephants, giraffes, and all kinds of antelopes everywhere across the park. Watch also for the Serengeti’s famous lion prides. And that’s just the start. Some of the largest and most diverse wildlife populations on the planet roam the Serengeti, not to mention millions of wildebeest and zebras who migrate across the plains every year.

Meal: All meals included (Non-alcoholic drinks)

Day 4

Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast, we depart for a game drive as we head east, exiting the Serengeti and returning to the NCA. While driving through the NCA, there will be an option for a side treip (extra charge) visiting either a Maasai village or Olduvai Gorge Museum (an important paleoanthropological site). There will be a break for a picnic-style lunch. We will reach your accommodation located near Ngorongoro Crater where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and rest overnight.

Day 5

Ngorongoro crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, your safari vehicle decends 600m (2000ft) to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. You will have several hours to explore one of the top safari destinations in Africa. The wide variety and high density of animals have earned Ngorongoro Crater this reputation. The beauty of the crater wall forming a backdrop and the fact that the animals here are not as shy as in some other destinations makes for great wildlife photography. There will be a lunch break at a designated area near a lake frequented by hippos, flamingoes, and cranes. The crater is not large, just 20km in diameter, so in 4 – 5 hours all can be seen. At that time we will ascend out of the crater and drive to Arusha.
